Tazarotene Cream

This medication is usually well tolerated. In some people, it can cause side effects such as burning, dryness, itchiness, or irritation. It can also aggravate other skin conditions such as eczema and seborrheic dermatitis. This medication should not be used with a sunlamp or a tanning bed and should be washed off quickly if it comes into contact with your eyes or mouth.
This medication can be used with other acne medications, but it should not be used with a topical steroid such as isotretinoin (Accutane). It can also increase the effectiveness of topical hydration therapies such as hyaluronic acid injections. It can be used in conjunction with a pore minimizer such as benzoyl peroxide to further reduce the appearance of enlarged pores. It is important to allow the first product to completely absorb and be fully dry before applying tazarotene. It should not be used on irritated skin or with other skin products that have strong drying effects, such as soaps or abrasive cleansers.
