How to Turn Off Deliver Quietly on Your iPhone

Apple’s latest iOS system software has a feature called “Deliver Quietly.” This function allows notifications from a selected app to appear in the Notification Center with a badge on the app icon but does not show banners or play a sound or vibration.

Many iPhone users are wondering what does deliver quietly mean and how to turn it on & off on their devices. In this article, we will cover the basics of this useful feature and its functionality.

How to turn off deliver quietly

There is a feature on the iPhone called “Deliver Quietly” that reduces the number of app alerts and notifications you receive. It’s useful if you want to limit distractions, such as during a meeting or when you’re sleeping. However, if you’re not careful, it can also prevent important alerts from coming through and even cause you to miss them entirely. This Tip of the Day will show you how to turn off Deliver Quietly on your iPhone so that you can receive notifications as usual.

To disable Deliver Quietly, find a notification for the app in Notification Center or on your lock screen and swipe left. This will open a few options, including a ‘Manage’ option. Tap this and select ’Deliver Prominently.’ The app will now receive notifications as normal, and they will appear on your lock screen and in Notification Center.

You can also turn off Deliver Quietly in Settings by tapping the app icon that has a set of gears on a light grey background. Then, tap Notifications and scroll down to the ’Deliver Quietly’ option to uncheck it. Now, when you receive notifications for the app, they will be displayed in Notification Center and on your lock screen, but they won’t make any sound or vibrate. You can change this at any time by selecting the app again and toggling the ’Deliver Quietly’ switch back on.

Open the Settings app

Managing notifications on an iPhone can be confusing, especially for new users. The Deliver Quietly feature allows users to silent notifications from apps but still receive iMessages and other push notifications. If you want to return to prominent notifications from an app, it’s easy to disable Deliver Quietly. You can either do this from the notification center or directly in the settings app on your iPhone.

Whether you’re working in a loud environment or just need to focus on your work, having the ability to manage your iPhone’s notifications is important. The iOS 12 system software includes a new notification feature called “Deliver Quietly.” This allows you to have notifications sent quietly so that they only appear in the Notification Center and don’t trigger sound or popup alerts.

This is a great way to avoid distractions while you’re working or playing on your phone, but it can be frustrating when you need to hear a notification sound or see a popup alert. Fortunately, you can easily turn off deliver quietly for any app on your iPhone by following these simple steps.

To do this, find the notification from the app you want to change the settings for and swipe it to the left. Then, tap the menu and select “Manage Notifications.” From here, you can customize the display style, sounds, and badges for any app on your iPhone.

Tap Notifications

You can quickly disable Deliver Quietly for a specific app on your iPhone by finding the notification and tapping it. This will allow notifications from that particular app to appear in your Notification Center and on the Lock screen, but they won’t make any sound or display a notification window.

Deliver Quietly makes your iPhone less distracting by reducing the number of notifications you receive from that app. When you enable Deliver Quietly, new notifications from that app will still show up in your Notification Center and on the Lockscreen, but they won’t make any noise or display a notification window. This feature can be especially useful when you need to focus on a task and don’t want to be disturbed by a lot of distracting alerts.

It’s important to remember that when you turn on Deliver Quietly for a particular app, this setting will apply to all of your notifications from that app. This includes messages from iMessage, which is why many people end up accidentally turning off Deliver Quietly for iMessage and then getting annoyed when they no longer get notified of their important iMessages. To avoid this, you should always ensure that Deliver Quietly is disabled for iMessage if you don’t want to hear about any of its notifications. You can also change this settings directly from the Messages app in your iOS device’s Notification Center.

Tap the app you want to turn off deliver quietly for

Managing app notifications on your iPhone has gotten a lot easier in recent years. Rather than launching the Settings app, you can adjust alerts for most apps right from the lock screen or notification center.

One cool feature is Deliver Quietly, which reduces the annoyance of an app’s alerts by hiding them from the lock screen and showing them only in the Notification Center. When you receive a notification from an app that has Deliver Quietly enabled, it will appear in the Notification Center with no banners, sounds, or App icon badges. You can switch off Deliver Quietly from the Notification Center or in the app’s settings.

To turn off Deliver Quietly for an app, access the Notification Center by swiping down from the top of the screen. Locate a notification from the app you want to disable the feature for and swipe it to the left. This will open a menu with three options — View, Manage, and Deliver Quietly. Tap Manage to return the app to its normal alert settings.

Using Deliver Quietly is a great way to reduce the annoyance of notifications from your favorite apps, but it’s important to remember that you won’t be alerted when you get new push messages or iMessage chats from them. You can still mute a specific app’s notifications by swiping on a notification from the app, tapping ‘Options’, and selecting ‘Mute for 1 hour’ or ‘Mute for Today’.

Tap Manage Notifications

The Deliver Quietly feature is a handy tool that allows you to receive notifications on your lock screen and Notification Center without making any noise or displaying the app’s icon. This can be useful if you’re trying to work or relax without being interrupted by apps that aren’t important. However, it can also be annoying if you need to hear a notification sound or see an alert on the app to know when you get new messages.

To disable Deliver Quietly for an app, open the Settings app and tap Notifications. Find the app you want to turn off delivery quietly for and tap the toggle switch next to ‘Deliver Quietly’. Now whenever you receive a notification for this app, it will display on the Notification Center, appear on the lock screen, and play a sound alert. You can also enable alerts for ‘Lock Screen’ and ‘Banners’ in this same menu to customize how the app’s notifications appear on your device.

Once you’ve turned off ‘Deliver Quietly’ for an app, the notifications for that app will revert to normal. This means that the notifications will appear on your lock screen, badge the app icon, and play a sound alert when you receive new messages. If you’re using an Apple Watch, the notifications will still be delivered to your wrist but will not include any sounds or haptic feedback.

Tap Deliver Prominently

The Deliver Quietly feature on an iPhone is a great way to silence certain apps’ notifications so you can focus without being interrupted. When you turn on Deliver Quietly for an app, its notifications will appear in the Notification Center and the Lock screen, but they won’t sound or vibrate. The app will still be able to send you wrist notifications on your Apple Watch, but those won’t have any sounds or vibrations either.

To turn off Deliver Quietly for an app, find the notification in the Notification Center or on the Lock screen and swipe it to the left. This will open the Manage Notifications pop-up with two blue button options. The first option, Deliver Quietly, ensures that future alerts from this app will only be displayed in the Notification Center and on the Lock screen, and won’t have any sounds or badges displayed.

The second option, Mute for 1 Hour or Mute for Today, allows you to choose how long you want to mute the notifications for this app. Once you’re finished, tap ‘Done’ to save your settings and turn off Deliver Quietly for the selected app. If you ever need to turn on the Deliver Quietly setting for an app again, you can do so by following these same steps. The only difference is that when you swipe the notification from this app in the Notification Center or on the Lock Screen, you’ll see an option to Deliver Prominently instead of the Deliver Quietly button.
